Historisches Apartment Minimalus

Sankt Goar, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

The historic apartment MINIMALUS is located in a small street, not far from the Rhine in beautiful Sankt Goar.

The narrow house in which the great apartment is located looks inconspicuous from the outside and is in a row of houses directly on a street. An old staircase leads to the apartment on the second floor, which is anything but inconspicuous. The original charm of the house built in 1906 has been combined with modern furnishings. The plank floor still creaks like it did 100 years ago, the time-honored flair makes everything appear elegant and yet comfortable. In short: you feel right at home here.

Owner Marius Bräunlich bought the house, which had been vacant for a long time, in 2022 and renovated it himself. With the help of his family and friends, he renovated it bit by bit, preserving everything that was original as far as possible. You won't find perfection here, but comfort is guaranteed.

The cozy, small city apartment has a lot of charm, is equipped with a record player and typewriter that takes guests back in time and at the same time offers the comfort of a modern apartment. The apartment has a natural, sustainable and bright design and is equipped with high-quality, natural materials such as wood, steel, stone and glass. The individual details and handmade furniture create a very special atmosphere in which you just feel good.

Sustainable

ArchitectureThe old substance of the house has been preserved and the building has been renovated so that each floor now has its own bathroom. In addition, solid wood furniture was used or old furniture was refurbished. The dining table and coffee table are made of old marble slabs, which owner Marius bought used. He made the bed himself from local oak, and he collected and restored the room doors from other construction sites. The tiles were also leftovers from other construction sites, the kitchen is a mix of two old kitchens and the kitchen display case consists of two cupboard doors that he found in the bulky waste.

EnvironmentPlastic has been avoided as far as possible in the accommodation/furnishings and guests can experience that it is possible to live comfortably even in a small space. With the apartment, host Marius wants to show that old buildings and substance can be preserved and that comfort is not only created through modernity and perfection.

Well-BeingThe apartment has a heat cabin where you can really relax after an eventful day.
