Agia Ateliers

Agia Pelagia, Crete, Greece

The apartments of Saveriako and Lidian are located in a quiet olive grove in the mountains with breathtaking sea views. You can watch from the veranda, surrounded by beautiful flowers and fragrant herbs, as the blue Aegean sea merges with the bright blue sky on the horizon.

In 2005, the native Italian, globetrotter and trained chef Saveriako settled in this place and gradually converted the small farm in the middle of an olive grove into a cozy retreat. The furniture in the two apartments consists entirely of recycled materials. “Our passion is to give new life to things that might be garbage for someone else. We like to work on it and we are inspired by what we find, ”says Saverio.

The spacious, light-flooded and lovingly furnished studio (75 square meters) is ideal for group vacations with groups of friends or families. In the olive garden, you can relax in a hammock or read a book on a bench. Breakfast tastes twice as good on the sun terrace. Regional delicacies can be prepared on the grill. Just a few minutes from the apartment there is a market with fresh, local products.

A beautiful Italian mocha tastes good at any time of the day in the Saverio bistro, which does everything to sweeten the most beautiful time of the year for its guests. Starting with tips to explore the most beautiful corners of Crete, insider knowledge about the beautiful beaches of the island up to cooking courses organized by himself. Here the passionate cook teaches the basics of Italian and Greek cuisine - olive oil tastings included. Organic products from their own garden and from farmers who are friends are preferred.

In the house in the mountains, a cool wind awaits the guest after a hot day at the beach. A car is recommended, but not essential to reach the beautiful beaches in the area. Strategically located in the north of the island, the apartments are an ideal place to explore Crete . Car or motorcycle rentals are available at special prices. In the nearby village of Agia Pelagia there are typical taverns where you can enjoy fresh fish and the original Cretan cuisine. There are also all kinds of offers for water sports and diving excursions.

Handmade in-house creations and the typical Greek colors, blue and white, dominate the furnishings. Many pieces are vintage and come from old Cretan houses.

Testimonials
